I trust you will forgive my direct words today. I feel the need to scream it from the mountain top.
I KNOW your weight loss journey has been frustrating.
I KNOW you've diligently applied a variety of diets
I know you lost weight and gained it back again more times than you can count.
I know your belly is uncomfortable, frustrating and serves as a daily reminder of how far you feel you are from your goals.
HOWEVER, IF you choose to allow your brain to frantically search for the next diet, the next fast, the next quick fix, the next lose 10 pounds this week, the next treatment (ice baths, infrared, shots, supplements)..
You will ONLY prolong the time it takes to get to your result.

What to do instead? Learn from your past - restrictive diets/pills/products do not work long term.
Get the basics down (self care, intentional movement and sensible nutrition strategies that you can keep for a lifetime so that you keep your results for a lifetime)
Work on your mindset. You did not build the thoughts and habits that lead to the weight gain in a few weeks or months.
You've been practicing them for YEARS, if not decades.

I know you meant well when you followed what diet culture told you to do - you did not know any better. Here's the truth - OFTENtimes, that long history of diets (losing and gaining - extreme restrictions..) will make sustainably losing weight now tougher.
What's the alternative, give up? Go back to the same patterns? Then what? Be kind to yourself. Get the basics down. Give your body and mind grace. Steady consistent progress trumps intense and fast every time. When you jump off steady & consistent, get discouraged and fall into old patterns, you ultimately prolong the time it will take to get the body you want
These were my morning thoughts, shared with heart this is for you and is dead set on calling the enemy out (stinkin thinkin, aspects of society like diet culture).
